When you have your circle does everyone participate in the event?
At my school, we have everyone in the circle doing something. They all have to do something when we have a circle.

Does everyone have their own roles that they have to do?
Everyone that is in our restorative justice class has a role to do everytime we have a respondent.

After the first circle, how has everything gone after that? Was everything going the same way or were things a little different?
The first time I was in the circle I was kind of scared and I didn't know what to do or say to the people. There were times when I was the respondent and there were sometimes when I was apart of the circle. I think that the times that I was the repondent it helped me a little but not was much.

What is the biggest problem in your school?

What ideas do you have to solve them?

Do you think they will work?

At my school we have a lot of students skipping class, being tardy, and fighting. We came up with the idea of fantastic four: it is be safe, be responsible, be prepared, and be respectful. And if the students practice all those things in class they get points. And with those points they can buy things at the fantastic four store. We believe this will encourage the kids to do well. I am not saying it will work for everyone but it should bring the number of referrals down and bring attendance in classes up.

1. What was your first respondent like?
My first respondent was cool but it seemed like we couldn't get the person to talk. But by the end the person was talking and happy to be in the circle.

We play a lot of games that would help us connect with ourselves and others.

Some of the questions that we ask are what could have happened to prevent the problem, what are some of the things you take responsibility for?

My reaction to the video:
I really loved your video, it gave us a chance to see that you all are just like us. I also liked seeing you do some of the stuff we do in our circle. I can't wait until I talk to all of you!

I think that the video was a good idea because it let's us know more about them. We get to see how they run their program. We can see what the can improve on and what can help us. We get to learn more about them as individuals. We can also learn some new things about the circle that we can do in our circle.
